INT. JEFF’S DAD’S HOUSE.

ADAM and JEFF are two 32 year old guys. They are playing video games and eating chips. Jeff is clearly winning. Jeff’s Dad, CARL walks in.

CARL
Hey Adam, son. How you guys doing?

ADAM
Not good Mr. Walker.

CARL
Wow. You are getting crushed.

ADAM
Yeah. No shit.

CARL
Have you ever played this game before?

ADAM
Ha. Ha. Very funny.

CARL
Jeff, you should go easy on him.

JEFF
I’m trying.

ADAM
Will you guys shut up.

CARL
Will you stop sucking.

ADAM
That’s it.

Adam slaps Carl in the face. Carl’s nose starts to bleed and he runs out of the room.

JEFF
Did you just slap my dad?

ADAM
Yeah. He was talking shit. Let’s finish this.

JEFF
No. You slapped my dad.

ADAM
Yeah, in the face. Sometimes you need to slap a guy, even if he’s somebody’s dad.

JEFF
That was rude.

ADAM
No it wasn’t. I could have bitch slapped or pimp slapped him. But I didn’t. I just original flavor slapped him. It was a sign of respect.

JEFF
No. A sign of respect would have been saying, excuse me, I don’t like the way you are talking to me. Please stop.

ADAM
If I talked like that then I would have deserved to get slapped.

JEFF
Don’t you even feel a little bad?

ADAM
No. I’ve been wanting to slap your dad for years. That slap wasn’t just about the video game, although he should have known to check himself about that. But it was for all the other times he gave us shit. Yelled at us for drinking in his house. Asked how my mom was doing after my father passed away. He had a whole mess of slaps coming and I just gave him one.

JEFF
Either way. You are going to apologize to him right now.

ADAM
Fine. But I won’t really mean it.

Carl walks back in with a wash cloth filled with ice held up to his face.

ADAM

I’m sorry Mr. Walker for slapping you.

CARL
You should be. That was rude and uncalled for and I never want you in my house again.

ADAM
I think you are overreacting.

CARL
No I am not, you little punk. If I didn’t really want to sleep with your mother I would have kicked you out of here years ago.

ADAM slaps Carl on the other side of the face. Carl runs out of the room again.

ADAM
See. I told you. He had it coming.

JEFF
Fair enough. But you still suck at this game.
